This show is in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

The show opens with the AEW: Dynamite opening video package.

Jim Ross welcomes us to Dynamite as pyro shoots off on the stage. Jim Ross, Excalibur and Tony Schiavone runs down the card, then we see a video package for Young Bucks vs Private Party. I love these video packages. The Young Bucks think they are still the best, while Private Party are trying to prove why they were hired, knowing that they are the least known team in AEW.

The Young Bucks make their entrance for our first match in the tag tournament.

The Young Bucks vs Private Party

  • The Bucks get a great reaction, obviously, and loud chants of “The Elite.” Private Party have a red cord with security maning it, like the entrance to a club. Nick starts the match with Kassidy, they run a few spots then Nick spits his gum at Kassidy then the Bucks run wild as Matt tags in. The Bucks get heat on Kassidy for a few minutes the Kassidy makes a comedy and tags Marq Quen. Marq runs wild on the Bucks. Five minutes in, this is wild, with fast paced action from both and the fans are loving it. Matt tries a sunset flip powerbomb off the apron to the floor but walks all the way to the ramp and powerbombs Kassidy on the steel. Now the Bucks slow the match down while they get heat on Marq. Kassidy finally gets back to the corner but Nick pulls Kassidy off the apron. Kassidy finally gets a tag but is selling his back a lot. At the ten minute call, Jim Ross says “What’s that?”. Matt kicks out of a shooting star press which gets a huge reaction. Matt picks up Marq Quen for the Meltzer Driver but Nick is pulled off the apron, Marq Quen rolled up Matt to win the match and move on in this tag tournament. Winners: Private Party in 13:40

Private Party leave through the crowd as fans go nuts.

Jericho’s music plays.

The AEW Champion, Chris Jericho, along with; Santana, Ortiz, Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager make their way to the ring. Jericho cuts a promo saying they are a group, they will continue to work together and they have a name. Jericho cuts a great promo introducing each member of his new team and explaining why each of them made his list. Fans chant “we the people” and Jericho says “we the people sucks, and it’s dead and buried.” Fans cheer. Jericho says “it was a stupid idea by bad creative and all that’s gone.” These men are Jericho’s inner circle, they are The Inner Circle. Jericho says to Cody “You know what Cody, I don’t like you and I don’t like your family.” Fan boo. “I don’t like your father, Dusty Rhodes, I think he was a jerk.” Fans boo louder. “I don’t like your brother Dustin Rhodes, I think he’s a moron and I’m gonna kick his ass tonight.” Then Jericho says he will beat the shit out of Cody. As they go too break, Ross says “Good. Nice segment.” The Inner Circle stand on the stage and pose before they leave. Nothing happened in the break.

As we come back from break, Jimmy Havoc’s music plays.

Number 1 Contender Match – Jimmy Havoc vs Darby Allin

  • Havoc makes his way to the ring while we see a picture-in-picture promo by Havoc talking about pain. While Allin makes his way to the ring, we see clips of him versus Cody. The match starts and they trade a few holds, then Havoc spits at Allin. Havoc hits a falcon arrow from inside the ring to the floor. Havoc works over the fingers of Darby Allin as he bites them. Havoc hits a sleeper suplex and Allin rolls to the floor. The go to break on TNT. Havoc beats on Allin at ringside and hits Allin’s hand into the ring post, then the bell. Havoc hits a arm drag into the corner, followed by a suplex into the corner. Havoc is brutal throughout this match and when he stomps on Allin or bites his hands, the fans boo. Havoc controls most of the match but Allin makes a comeback with a bite of his own to the hand of Havoc, the fans cheer. Then Allin stuns Havoc and hits a huge Coffin Drop for the win. Darby Allin faces Chris Jericho next week on Dynamite for the Championship. Winner: Darby Allin in 10:00.

During the break, the fans show their signs and they get on the big screen.

Bea Priestley & Emi Sakura vs Britt Baker & Riho

  • Sakura and Riho starts the match and Sakura uses the size advantage to take control early on. Priestley tags in but goes straight for Bea. Bea and Sakura take out Britt on the outside but Riho dives on both of them. Going into break Baker and Riho make a comeback on both Sakura and Priestley. Britt goes for the finish as Riho holds Bea down at ringside. Britt gets the rings of Saturn on Sakura and applies the Mandible Claw for the win. Good match, not much heat. Fans cheer and clap after. Winners: Britt Baker and Riho in 8:39.

We see a promo video for the Best Friends as they slowly run to each other and hug. The Best Friends are at ringside as they get interviewed, the arr asked “How are you feeling?” And Chuckie T says “Don’t ask us, ask this guy.” And they point to Orange Cassidy sa down. Cassidy slightly sticks his thumb up. They are interrupted by Shawn Spears and Tully Blanchard. PAC joins the commentary both.

Shawn Spears vs Jon Moxley

  • As we come back from break, Jon Moxley makes his way to the ring. This match starts hard and fast as this is immediately presented as a fight. They punch each other at the bell and it quickly moves to ringside. Tully gets involved at ringside and causes a distraction but the ref stops it. Moments later, Tully Blanchard throws Moxley into the corner steps. Back at ringside Shawn Spears hits a dDeath Valley Driver into the corner of the barrier like some might do to a turnbuckle. Spears works over Moxley in the break. Back from the break Moxley escapes from a single leg crab. Spears controls most of this match and gets some good heat. Moxley hits a double arm DDT, Paradigm Shift, on Spears for the win. Winner: Jon Moxley in 11:54.

Kenny Omega comes out with a barbed wire bat and a barbed wire broom. Kenny throws the bat to Moxley, who is making his way up the ramp, but PAC attacks Omega with a chair from behind. Moxley drops the bat while looking at Kenny on the ramp and leaves. We go to break.

During the break Kenny is helped up by a ref, he picks up his broom and waves to the crowd. An eight man tag match an a non-sanctioned lights out match between Joey Janela and Kenny Omega is announced for AEW Dark. JR says “Okay”.

Dustin Rhodes makes his entrance.

Main event

Dustin Rhodes & Hangman Adam Page vs Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara

  • Sammy and Jericho come out separately but Jericho comes out with Jake Hager. Jericho tags out immediately but Dustin foes after him anyway. Dustin throws around Jericho at ringside then Dustin takes it to Sammy Guevara and tags Page. Page and Dustin Rhodes beat down Guevara for almost five minutes until Sammy drops Hangman over the top turnbuckle from his shoulders. Sammy gets a tag to Jericho, who beats Page down some but tags out quick. Jericho tags back in and chokes Hangman on the ropes. Long heat on Hangman but whn he finally gets a tag, the crowd go nuts for Dustin. Hager takes out Page at ringside then, when the ref is distracted with Guevara, Hager gets in the ring and takes out Dustin. Jericho hits the Judas Effect for the win. Both Jericho an Sammy were bleeding from the mouth.Winners: Jericho and Sammy Guevara in 13:27.

After the match they all beat on Dustin, then Hangman gets up. Hangman breaks up the beating but is thrown out of the ring by Hager. Jake Hager goes after Page and takes a chair to the face. Hager and Page fight up the side of the ramp so Jericho and Sammy beat up Dustin some more. The lights turn off and when they come on, Cody stands there. Cody takes out Sammy with a Cross Rhodes but is attacked by Santana and Ortiz. MJF comes to the ring with a chair, teases hitting Cody but attacks Jericho, Ortiz and Santana. MJF celebrates as the fans actually chant “MJF”. Wow. MJF is then jumped by Jericho and The Inner Circle get up. The Young Bucks come down and hit a load of Superkicks and dive onto Santana and Ortiz at ringside. The Elite stand tall in the ring as Jericho leaves on his own up the ramp, then Darby Allin skates down the ramp and jumps on Jericho. Darby Allin then hits Jericho with his skate board and joins te Elite in the ring, MJF joins the Elite in the ring as The Inner Circle gather. Jericho says on microphone “Cody, November 9th. Darby I’ll see you next week in Philadelphia, it’s your funeral, bitch.” And that was episode two of Dynamite.

With another week comes another really good episode of AEW: Dynamite. I like the small details like the win/loss record on the graphics when someone goes to the ring for a match. I like the spontaneous feel, with a fully booked card and an assumption of order. This is definitely an episode worth watching and one I highly recommend.

Best bits in decending order:

  • The Young Bucks make Private Party stars in AEW as they head on to the tag tournament.
  • Jericho’s promo and the name of his faction, The Inner Circle.
  • Darby Allin defeats Jimmy Havoc and goes on to face Jericho next week.
  • Bea and Britt continue to feud.
  • Chuckie T cuts a short promo, Orange Cassidy gives a thumbs up.
  • The entire Jon Moxley vs Shawn Spears match was a fight, also Tully is on TV!
  • Kenny appears to be “The Cleaner” and feuds with Moxley but PAC is not happy. Maybe a triple threat?
  • Jericho remains undefeated but Dustin is awesome.
  • The fans chant for MJF.
  • We seem to have three matches to look forward to; Bucks vs Santana & Ortiz, Hangman vs Jake Hager and obviously Jericho vs Cody.
