AXS TV announce live broadcast of the opening night of the G1 Climax from Dallas

AXS TV announced today(March 1st, 2019) that they will broadcast “a Pro Wrestling spectacle unlike any other” when New Japan Pro Wrestling(NJPW) returns to the U.S. for the opening night of the G1 Climax 29.

For the first time ever, NJPW will take they’re world famous G1 Climax tournament to the United States. The G1 Climax 29 will start in Dallas, Texas on July 6th and will broadcast live on AXS TV.

The G1 Climax is the most prestigious tournament in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and probably the entire world of Pro Wrestling. This year, the tournament begins with night 1 in Dallas, Texas, and continues across Japan, until the August 12th finale in Tokyo. The best of New Japan will be competing in this tournament with around 20 competitors taking part each year. Highly acclaimed, full-time NJPW commentator, Kevin Kelly will be at ringside to call this historic event, live on AXS TV.

In a press release, AXS TV Fights CEO, Andrew Simon had this to say:

“The G1 Climax Tournament is the greatest tournament in pro wrestling and differentiates New Japan Pro Wrestling from the competition”

Andrew Simon also said:

“Having night one take place in the United States shows that NJPW is now a global company with worldwide interest. We are excited to broadcast this historic night live to AXS TV fans.

This will be the fourth event to broadcast live on AXS TV.
