Tessa Blanchard signs with WOW Superheroes for L.A. AXS TV Tapings

A stated in my previous postLos Angeles Comic Con has teamed with WOW owner Jeanie Buss and WOW founder David McLane to present “WOW Superheroes” for two nights at the Belasco Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. The events will take place Wednesday, October 10th and Thursday, October 11th at 7:30pm local time. This will be taped for AXS TV to be released on their network in early 2019.

Santana Garrett will also be on the show as the current WOW Superheroes Champion. Santana was on the inaugural Mae Young Classic on the WWE Network.

Los Angeles Lakers owner, Jeanie Buss, announced that one of the biggest independent female wrestlers on the scene today has signed with WOW – Women Of Wrestling and will be in attendance at the TV tapings for AXS TV.

Tessa was in a four-way match at the biggest independent wrestling show in America in years, ALL IN and also wrestles for Impact Wrestling.

Tessa is a third-generation wrestler with her grandfather being pro wrestler Joe Blanchard, her father being a member of the Four Horsemen, Tully Blanchard and her stepfather Magnum T.A. Both Magnum and Tully were at ALL IN with Tessa for her match.

“Knowing the expectations of our WOW fans to see the best in women’s professional wrestling, we are elated to sign Tessa Blanchard,” WOW Owner, Jeanie Buss said. “Tessa enhances and elevates our athletic roster of talent beyond measure and we can hardly wait to showcase her skills in the series set to broadcast on Mark Cuban’s AXS TV.”

“I am grateful to both Impact Wrestling and the WOW executives for working out the details to allow me to pursue my dream of competing at the highest levels within out industry,” Blanchard said. “The success I’ve experienced in the past month in winning the Impact Championship, winning in Chicago at the “All In” event in front of over 10,000 people, and now signing with WOW is what dreams are made of. My next dream to come true that will top off my year’s success will be when I beat Santana Garrett to win the WOW World Championship.”
