Ring Of Honor – Honor For All – Line-up – July 20th, 2018

This will undoubtedly be one of the biggest “ROH On Tour” Shows available on Honor Club and Fite TV since they started earlier this year. One of the main matches bringing a lot of attention to this show is the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship Match between Nick Aldis (c) and Flip Gordon.

The reason this is bringing so much attention is that if Flip wins the championship he will be booked for ALL IN, the biggest independent wrestling show in America in years, possibly ever.

Flip Gordon has tried to get booked for this show since it’s inception but one of the three wrestlers putting this show on, Cody, hates Flip and won’t book him.

If Flip can win on July 20th against Nick Aldis then we would most probably see Flip Gordon Vs Cody for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, possibly with the addition of Nick Aldis demanding on booking of ALL IN.

Im assuming Ring Of Honor and Fite TV might see more interest in this show than others and therefore I will give you some backstory for each match, helping you enjoy the show on July 20th

I will now get into all the matches announced.

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship Match – Nick Aldis (c) vs Flip Gordon

Chuckie T vs Bully Ray

In recent months Bully Ray has attacked and shown disdain for wrestlers “these days” calling them “Spoiled millennials” and “entitled”. Well Chuckie T has offered to stand up against the Bully on behalf of wrestlers that have been on the other end of Bully’s aggression such as Eli Isom, Cheeseburger and Flip Gordon.

ROH World TV Championship Match – Scorpio Sky vs Punishment Martinez

Punishment Martinez defends his ROH TV Championship for the second time on this show, “Honor For All.” Martinez won the Championship from Silas Young at the State Of The Art – Dallas show and defended it at Best In The World against Adam “Hangman” Page in a Baltimore Street Fight. Punishment Martinez faces off against the high flying and fast paced Scorpio Sky. Scorpio Sky had a good showing in the “Six-Man Mayhem Instant Reward Providing Ground Match” at State Of The Art – Dallas but unfortunately didn’t factor in the finish. Scorpio Sky is one third of SoCal Uncensored with Daniels and Kazarian. SCU are never happy unless they are in Southern California so I’m sure Scorpio Sky won’t be in a good mood.

Providing Ground Match – Karen Q vs Sumie Sukai

Karen Q is facing the first ever Women Of Honor Champion Sumie Sukai in a proving ground match in Nashville. Karen Q was the first women to beat “The gatekeeper” Kelly Klein in the WOH Championship Tournament. Karen Q has been more aggressive in recent times and we will see how it fairs against Sumie Sukai. Sumie Sukai won the WOH Championship Tournament at Supercard Of Honor to become the first ever WOH Champion and has taken on all comers since winner the championship.

TK O’Ryan vs Cody

Cody is reeling from his championship match at Best In The World which he lost and thus struggling to find a way to get the NWA championship on the ALL IN show without having to book Flip Gordon. He faces TK O’Ryan in a first ever one-on-one match in Nashville on July 20th. TK O’Ryan is one third of the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions and The Kingdom.

Four Corner Survival Match – Kenny King vs Shane Taylor vs Chris Sabin vs Jonathan Gresham

Four men in the hunt for the ROH World TV Championship come to Nashville looking to prove something and perhaps earn a future Ring Of Honor Television Championship Match. Kenny King is a former two time TV Champion and a possible top pick to win this match but it won’t be easy against the other three guys he’s facing. Shane Taylor has been getting better and better every show and has really shown himself to be a successful future champion in Ring Of Honor and around the world. Shane has dropped weight and gained speed over the last year, making him even more dangerous. Chris Sabin first joined Ring Of Honor in 2003 and has been multiple time champion everywhere he’s been, Sabin is a true contender. Jon Gresham is one of America’s top technical style wrestler and is nicknamed the Octopus. Gresham is known for tying people up and he has an impressive history as he debuted in 2005 where he honed his craft until 2011 when he join ROH.

Young Bucks (Matt & Nick) vs The Briscoes (Mark & Jay) vs The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian)

This will be a favourite of mine as I’m a big fan of all of these teams. The Young Bucks, who have recently won the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships on New Japan, recently faced the ROH Champions at Best In The World but came up short in an instant classic. Immediately after the match The Addiction made their way to the ring to apparently save The Young Bucks who were being attacked post match but after challenged the champions, The Briscoes. This bout will be a Non-title affair due to The Briscoes refusing to put up the Championships here to non-worthy contenders. If The Young Bucks or The Addiction can pick up a win here then they surely earn a shot.

Matt Taven vs Marty Scurll

Two if the top contenders for the Ring Of Honor World Championship go face-to-face for the first time in Nashville, TN. The Villain Marty Scurll faces “The uncrowded ROH Champion” Matt Taven. Taven is one third of the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions and The Kingdom. Matt Taven claims there is a conspiracy against him and The Kingdom, keeping him from the ROH World Championship. The Villain was in the triple threat match for the ROH World Championship at Best In The World but came up short that night. Both Marty Scurll and Matt Taven will be looking to get a shot at the top prize in Ring Of Honor and a win here should accelerate that.
