Today Ring Of Honor announced that they will be teaming up with NJPW to put on what they describe as “The Ultimate Wrestling Event” over Wrestlemania week in 2019.

Ring Of Honor General Manager Greg Gilleland has been quoted as saying:

“the G1 Supercard is an event that can only represent the absolute best possible matches with both NJPW and ROH stars, and Madison Square Garden is the perfect venue for them.”

Harold Maij, NJPW President has stated:

“This gives us a great chance to expose fans to NJPW in the building which housed so many memorable and compelling matches.”

NJPW wrestlers already confirmed for this show are Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tetsuya Naito. Also ROH Stated that Championships from both companies will be defended at this show.
